What's the difference between "Added to event host list" and "Prioritized on event host list?"
With our Basic Membership, your company will be added to the event host list for one year. This means that if there is a good fit, our local Directors will reach out to you about hosting. With Premium and Founding Membership, you are prioritized on the event host list, meaning that you are guaranteed one event for the year. After your one event, you will remain on the event host list for other hosting opportunities as they arise.
Company Membership is great but I'm looking to have an impact in multiple cities. Is this possible?
Absolutely! Please contact partnerships@womenwhocode for more information about our Global Partnerships.
What is the duration of company membership?
Can I just donate to WWCode?
link to donation page on Women Who Code. If you'd like your donation to support a specific city, make the gift in honor of them.
What am I responsible for at the event?
We ask that you provide event space, food and beverages, and wifi (we will provide content, branding, and community outreach). This is a great opportunity to show off your company culture!
What type of event will it be?
The Network Directors will develop an event program that aligns with topics of interest to the local community. All of our events are technical in nature and inspire women to excel in their careers. Please let us know if you have any event suggestions or ideas!
Do I get speaking time at the event?
You will have 5 minutes at the beginning of the event to discuss anything you'd like. We suggest having a female technical leader talk about how great your company is or a cool technology she gets to use at your company.
With the inaugural launch of the WWCode Technical Track communities program in January of 2019, we are building an exciting and innovative program that brings WWCode members together for a specialized coding or technical event experiences that will become one of WWCode’s main program avenues and will strengthen the global network. Most importantly, they continue to provide members with the skills and confidence needed to advance their technical careers. The WWCode Track communities hold a plethora of engagement opportunities for our members that include:

Here is What We're Looking For
WWCode is looking for enthusiastic and dynamic speakers working in technology who want to share their expertise. We aim to have speakers that represent the talent and rich diversity of our community.
The goal is to share technical knowledge and experience with software developers, product managers, designers and other technologists. Most of our community is mid-level and above. If you use a specific language, your talk should be understandable by good developers, even if they don’t know the exact language syntax (short snippets or pseudo-code are totally fine). Attendees will be able to take away changes that can improve their day-to-day jobs.
Don’t be afraid to bring up advanced stuff and even try your hand at live demo-ing. Track topics include: data science, cloud, mobile, front end, blockchain, python, and related topics. Submissions by professional and first-time speakers are welcome. If you have an awesome idea, do not hesitate to submit it! We will be happy to give you the necessary feedback to make sure it matches audience expectations.
Talk Formats
Talks: Share your expertise (25 min) + Q&A (15 - 20 min)
Panels: 2 -3 panelists present (25 min) + Q&A (15 - 20 min)
Technical Workshops: Live code or product demo (30 - 60 min)
Flipped Workshops: Participants access a coding challenge or tutorial to complete in advance; during the workshop, share ProTips, real world application, and answer questions . .

Share Your Expertise
The event calendar is currently being design through December 2020. Talks are accepted on a rolling basis. Submit no later than the 15th of each month for consideration for the following month's program.
We believe that our industry is better when everyone has a voice. We take our Code of Conduct seriously, and encourage those of groups traditionally underrepresented in technology to apply to speak.
